This Cookie & Tracking Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. WHAT ARE COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website.

FlightMellow and its service providers may also use similar technologies, including:

  • pixels;
  • local storage;
  • browser storage;
  • tracking tags;
  • SDKs;
  • device identifiers;
  • server-side event technologies.

These technologies may be used to operate the website, remember preferences, measure website usage, maintain security, and evaluate advertising performance.

2. TYPES OF COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES WE USE

A. Strictly Necessary Technologies

These technologies are required for FlightMellow to function correctly.

They may be used for purposes such as:

  • website security;
  • session management;
  • checkout functionality;
  • fraud prevention;
  • customer authentication;
  • plan access;
  • remembering essential settings;
  • delivering purchased digital products.

Strictly necessary technologies may operate without consent where permitted by applicable law because they are required to provide services explicitly requested by the user.

B. Preference Technologies

These technologies may remember choices made by visitors, such as:

  • cookie preferences;
  • language or display preferences;
  • other optional settings.

Where required by applicable law, preference technologies will only be used after obtaining consent.

C. Analytics Technologies

Analytics technologies may help us understand how visitors interact with FlightMellow, including:

  • pages viewed;
  • general navigation patterns;
  • device and browser information;
  • website performance;
  • conversion funnel progression.

Where required by applicable law, non-essential analytics technologies will only operate after consent.

D. Advertising and Marketing Technologies

FlightMellow uses advertising technologies to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and understand how visitors progress from advertisements to purchases.

These technologies may include Meta Pixel and Meta technologies integrated through Shopify.

Where required by applicable law, advertising and marketing technologies will only operate after the visitor has provided the required consent.

3. META PIXEL

FlightMellow uses Meta Pixel on the public FlightMellow website.

The Meta Pixel may record events such as:

  • PageView;
  • BuildPlanClick;
  • WizardStart;
  • WizardComplete;
  • CheckoutRedirect.

These events are used to understand the performance of FlightMellow advertising and the customer journey before checkout.

FlightMellow does not intentionally include the following information in its custom Meta event parameters:

  • customer email address;
  • child age group;
  • flight duration;
  • day or overnight preference;
  • screen preference;
  • FlightMellow Access Code;
  • private plan token;
  • order number;
  • downloadable content.

Meta may receive technical information such as browser information, device information, cookie identifiers, IP-derived information, and other data associated with the operation of the Meta Pixel.

Meta processes information according to its own privacy terms and policies.

4. META TRACKING THROUGH SHOPIFY

FlightMellow also uses Shopify’s official Meta integration.

When a visitor proceeds to Shopify checkout or completes a purchase, Shopify and Meta may process events relating to:

  • checkout activity;
  • payment progression;
  • purchases;
  • order conversion;
  • advertising attribution.

FlightMellow does not manually generate Purchase events from the FlightMellow landing page.

Shopify’s Meta integration may use both browser-based and server-side technologies.

Where applicable, Shopify privacy and consent settings govern Shopify-specific cookies and pixels.

5. SHOPIFY COOKIES

FlightMellow uses Shopify for checkout, commerce functions, order processing, payment-related services, and customer communications.

Shopify may use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • checkout functionality;
  • fraud prevention;
  • security;
  • transaction processing;
  • customer authentication;
  • analytics;
  • advertising measurement;
  • remembering customer preferences.

Shopify may act as a service provider, processor, or independent controller depending on the processing activity involved.

For more information, users should review Shopify’s own privacy documentation.

6. CONSENT FOR NON-ESSENTIAL TRACKING

Where required by applicable law, FlightMellow will request consent before activating non-essential analytics, advertising, or marketing technologies.

Before consent is given, non-essential tracking technologies that require consent should remain disabled.

Visitors may be provided with choices such as:

  • Accept all;
  • Reject non-essential technologies;
  • Manage preferences.

Refusing non-essential cookies or tracking technologies will not prevent access to the essential features of FlightMellow.

7. CHANGING OR WITHDRAWING CONSENT

Where consent is used as the legal basis for tracking, you may withdraw or change your consent at any time.

You may do this through the cookie or privacy preferences controls made available on the relevant FlightMellow or Shopify interface.

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

8. COOKIE PREFERENCES ON FLIGHTMELLOW

FlightMellow may store your cookie or tracking preference in your browser so that your choice can be remembered.

This preference may be stored using:

  • local storage;
  • a consent cookie;
  • another essential browser storage mechanism.

This storage is used only to remember your privacy choice.

If you clear your browser storage or cookies, you may be asked to choose your preferences again.

9. SHOPIFY PRIVACY CONTROLS

Shopify may provide additional privacy controls, including:

  • cookie consent banners;
  • privacy preference controls;
  • data-sharing opt-out options;
  • Global Privacy Control support where applicable.

These controls may differ depending on the visitor’s location and the applicable privacy rules.

10. GLOBAL PRIVACY CONTROL AND OPT-OUT RIGHTS

Some privacy laws allow users to opt out of certain types of targeted advertising, data sharing, or similar processing.

Where legally required and technically supported, FlightMellow and its service providers may recognize mechanisms such as Global Privacy Control or other legally recognized opt-out signals.

Users may also contact us directly to exercise applicable privacy rights.

11. HOW LONG COOKIES LAST

Cookies and tracking technologies may be either:

Session technologies
These expire when the browser session ends.

Persistent technologies
These remain for a defined period or until deleted by the user.

The exact duration of third-party cookies is generally determined by the relevant service provider.

Users may delete cookies through their browser settings at any time.

12. THIRD-PARTY TECHNOLOGIES

FlightMellow currently relies on third-party services that may use cookies or similar technologies, including:

Shopify
For checkout, payments, order management, commerce infrastructure, security, analytics, and customer privacy controls.

Meta
For advertising measurement, campaign attribution, marketing analytics, and conversion tracking.

Lovable and related infrastructure providers
For website hosting, application functionality, and technical delivery.

Other payment or infrastructure providers
Where required for payment processing, security, hosting, storage, or technical operation.

Each third party may process information according to its own privacy documentation.

13. BROWSER CONTROLS

Most browsers allow users to:

  • view stored cookies;
  • delete cookies;
  • block cookies;
  • restrict third-party cookies;
  • clear browser storage;
  • limit tracking.

Blocking certain technologies may affect website functionality.

Strictly necessary technologies may still operate where required to provide the service.

14. DO NOT TRACK

Some browsers offer “Do Not Track” signals.

Because there is no universally accepted technical standard for all Do Not Track signals, FlightMellow may not respond to every browser-based Do Not Track request.

Where applicable law requires recognition of specific privacy signals, we will take reasonable steps to comply.

15. CHILDREN

FlightMellow is designed for purchase and use by adults.

We do not intentionally use advertising cookies to knowingly profile children who directly use the service.

The personalization wizard is completed by an adult purchaser.

16. INTERNATIONAL USERS

Privacy and cookie requirements differ between countries and regions.

Depending on your location:

  • prior consent may be required for non-essential tracking;
  • opt-out rights may apply;
  • additional disclosures may be required.

Where mandatory local law provides greater protection, that law will apply.

17. EU / EEA / UK USERS

For visitors located in the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom, non-essential cookies and similar tracking technologies will be subject to applicable consent requirements.

Where required:

  • non-essential tracking will not activate before valid consent;
  • refusing non-essential tracking will not prevent access to essential website functionality;
  • users will be able to change or withdraw their consent.

18. UNITED STATES USERS

Residents of certain U.S. states may have rights to opt out of:

  • targeted advertising;
  • certain data sharing;
  • certain forms of cross-context behavioral advertising.

Where applicable, FlightMellow will provide appropriate opt-out mechanisms.

19. AUSTRALIAN AND CANADIAN USERS

Depending on applicable law, Australian and Canadian users may have rights relating to transparency, consent, access, correction, and the use of personal information for advertising or analytics purposes.

FlightMellow will handle applicable requests in accordance with relevant law.

20. CHANGES TO THIS COOKIE & TRACKING POLICY

We may update this Cookie & Tracking Policy from time to time to reflect:

  • changes in tracking technologies;
  • changes in service providers;
  • changes in applicable law;
  • changes in FlightMellow functionality.

The updated version will be published on the FlightMellow website.

The “Last updated” date will indicate the current version.
